Colon Hydrotherapy

WHAT IS COLON HYDROTHERAPY?

Colon Hydrotherapy (colonics) is the cleansing of the large intestines with filtered regulated water. It is also referred to as a "high enema".

After you are comfortably positioned on the device, you lift your hips and self- insert a pencil size rectal nozzle about 1 ½ inches. You will need to have the dexterity to self-insert the nozzle, and to get on and off the device (which requires use of the shoulders).

A gentle flow of gravity-fed, warm water begins. Water flowing into the colon initiates peristalsis (wave like motion), and the client responds by releasing water and waste repeatedly over a course of the next 30-45 minutes. The progressive irrigation and hydration that starts at the rectum, goes through the entire colon and breaks up waste matter and achieves the complete evacuation of the colon in most cases. Most people tell me that they feel refreshed after their session.

Please do not eat for 2 hours or drink much for 1 hour prior to your session. You want your stomach to be empty.

WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE A COLONIC?

The maximum weight the Angel of Water device will hold is 350 lbs. If you weigh more than this, please find a colon hydrotherapist that uses a Libbe device or that uses a "closed" colonic system.
